Genius Snack Upgrade: Caramel Apples
Candy or caramel apples are popular this time of year, known mainly as a treat enjoyed at fairs and festivals. In France, they’re called pommes d’amour, or apples of love, while in Germany they’re mostly associated with the Christmas season. Here in the United States (as well as in the UK and Ireland), caramel apples are a popular Halloween treat!
The process of making a candied apple remains fairly the same whether you’re using a sugar-based heated syrup or caramel. And though it may seem impossible to make them better, we’re Snack Geniuses and up for any challenge (plus it’s actually pretty simple)!
