No-Cook Dinner Must Haves

For the times when it seems as though there aren’t enough hours in the day to make a dent in your to-do list, a no-cook dinner can be a life (and sanity) saver. Perhaps no time more so than when we’re approaching summer, and the last thing you want to do is stand over an oven at the end of the day. Save yourself a few headaches by keeping some essential no-cook dinner items in your fridge and pantry.

Deli Meats
Hit the deli section for a variety of sliced meat or pre-cooked rotisserie chicken. All are perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or salads.

Tip: Tofu is an excellent source of protein that can be sliced and topped with herbs and soy sauce.

Dips and Salsas
A hearty dip can be so much more than a party starter. Homemade (prepared and refrigerated ahead of time) or store-bought spinach or artichoke dips, hummus, or fruit and veggie salsas can provide a filling meal when you don’t have the time or energy to prepare something intricate. Of course, there’s a Pretzel Crispsâ flavor available for all your scooping or stacking needs.

Veggies for Spiraling or Blending
Zucchini, carrots, and squash are just a few veggies that are perfect for spiraling into a no-noodle salad. Cucumbers, tomatoes, and jarred roasted peppers can be blended for creamy a gazpacho.

Misc.
Keep extra virgin olive oil, red and white wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, Dijon mustard, and honey on hand for zesty dressings for salads or sandwiches.
