1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 slices ready-to-serve bacon, finely chopped
1 Tablespoon butter
2 Tablespoons Original Pretzel Crisps® pieces, crushed
4 oz. plain goat cheese, softened
8 whole Original Pretzel Crisps®
8 small, thin slices Granny Smith apple

  1. To start, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Preheat a small, non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon to skillet and cook, stirring regularly, for 1-2 minutes. Add the brown sugar mixture and butter to bacon in the skillet and continue to cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes more, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat and add crushed Pretzel Crisps® pieces. Stir well to combine and coat, and pour the mixture out onto parchment paper. Allow the mixture to cool to form brittle, then carefully break into smaller pieces.
  2. To serve: Spread an equal amount of goat cheese onto each of the 8 whole Pretzel Crisps®. Stick 2-3 small pieces of pretzel-bacon brittle decoratively into one side of the goat cheese on each Pretzel Crisps®, then top the other side with one of the apple slices.
